2. IN-VEHIGLE & OUT-OF-VEHIGLE TESTS

Autel BT508 battery load tester can run a complete test on automobile cranking and charging system. Based on the on-screen step-to-step instructions, you will be exposed with Cranking Results including Starting Voltage and Starting Time. Generator Test is also available to present Charging condition, Output Voltage, Ripple.

1). In-Vehicle Test:
* Battery Test: With the clear guidance on the screen, you can do the battery test. And the battery test results include a color-coded result summary, a list of test data such as SOC, Voltage, Measure Capacity, and repair tips.
* Starter Test: Follow the on-screen instructions, start the engine and let it idle. Then the test results of the cranking system will display on the screen which include starting voltage, starting current and starting time.
* Generator Test: Through the alternator test, technicians are able to check the load voltage/current, no load voltage/current, and ripple. The direct test result on the screen will tell you whether the charging is normal, and whether there is an issue with the output or ripple, which helps avoid damaging the battery and shortening its life due to overcharging or incomplete charging.

2). Out-Vehicle Test:
Out-vehicle test is used to test the condition of batteries that are not connected to a vehicle. This function aims to check the health status of the battery only.

3). AUTOMATICALLY IDENTIFY BATTERY TYPE
Clamp the BT508 to a in-vehicle battery, the vehicle information will be automatically populated and its battery information tab will pop up from the bottom of the screen, select the correct battery parameters on the screen to process the diagnosis.

4). POLARITY PROTECTION

3. Adaptive Conductance Technology

Autel MaxiBas BT508 has advanced adaptive conductance function, which can dynamically adjust the algorithm according to battery noise, voltage, and surface charge, accurately detect battery capacity and power to reduce the probability of misjudgment.

Reduce battery misdiagnosis: State statistics show that 50% of recycled batteries are good and only need to be recharged. Battery tester BT508 adopts adaptive conductance technology will improve diagnostics accuracy to 95.59%, higher than 92.06% of conductance profile.
Reduce charge and reset of discharge battery: Other competitive battery testers cannot conduct SOH test to identify discharge battery, which will lead to invalid reset and charge. Using adaptive conductance technology, the battery tester BT508 can quickly detect battery SOH, saving diagnostic wait time by 50%.
Diagnose low capacity batteries: If the battery tester does not quickly identify the capacity status of the battery, there will be some misdiagnosis, which can lead to increased costs and wasted batteries. Battery tester Autel BT508 will improve bad detection rate to 63.55%, which is 15%(56.36%) faster than the battery tester using conductance profiling.
Compared to conductivity profiling, adaptive conductivity uses dynamic loads instead of fixed loads, which can be adjusted via in-vehicle environment, making battery diagnosis faster and more stable. Adaptive conductance has a 30A discharge (conductance profile is 10A) for faster battery testing and diagnosing.



4. Cranking/ Starter Test & Generator Test & Battery Test

BT508 has same functions as BT608 on Cranking/ Starter Test & Generator Test and Battery Test.
* Cranking/ Starter Test: Test 12V and 24V cranking/ charging systems for cranking Amps, engine cranking speed
* Generator Test: Test generator systems for pipple, off-load voltage, load voltage current, load current, load capacity of the battery, etc
* Battery Test: Check Battery condition in-vehicle or out-vehicle



5. Battery Replacement Diagram Guide Step-by-step:

With BT508 battery tester, you are allowed to perform whole battery change steps one by one:

Save Battery Information: Save vehicle's onboard data when vehicle's battery is removed or disconnected
Replace the Battery: Replace the battery step by step as prompted
